Marryat-Petitjean Travel Vise

MARC PETITJEAN HAS COMBINEC innovation with precision manufacturing to create a one of a kind rotary vise with all the bell; and whistles a fly tier could need. And they all fit into a travel case measuring 8″ x 5″ x 1.5″.

When we first opened the case we were amazed at the number of components, each snuggled into its own foam cut-out. Assembling the vise was reminiscent of out Erector Set days . . . all manner of neat parts that slide together to make a highly versatile tying machine. On a recent flight to Alaska, we tied some of Bills favorite silver salmon flies: 1/0 double-lead-wrapped, fluorescent-orange crystal buggers. With space at a premium, the Marryat-Petitjean travel vise was perfect for packing in a carryon and setting up on an airline tray table.

Petitjean has designed this vise to de any fly you need. There’s a table clamp, material holder, bobbin holder, two sets of jaws, a tube fly tool, and even a small disk that functions as a screwdriver. An instructional video, which demonstrates all the amazing features of this vise, is included in the package.

Three years in the design, the Marryat-Petitjean travel vise is now available at a retail price of $390.00.
